A rainy day here along the Lower Hudson Valley....Sitting here typing..Taking time to look outside my window...
I see a small gathering of birds drinking from a birdbath ...A neighborhood cat treading hesitantly through raindrops and puddles as he tries to find his way home for cover....Clouds cover the sky over head today.. droplets of rain cling to the end of tree branches forming liquid silver...the silver glistens through like a magic prism of crystal ..The landscape around me is so green ...The vibrant color of purple Iris's add to the canvas of spring delight...Each new day is like a work of art.. as a new flower blooms each adding to my outdoor canvas...What a lovely backdrop...As I end this note I am listening to the gentle pattering of raindrops flowing towards my window...It fills me with a sense of peace...I feel so blessed...
There is something about rain...It brings out the inner child from within...
Jumping in puddles barefoot.... ...rain barrels...the taste of raindrops...The sound of rain hitting a tin roof......Getting splashed by a passing car and laughing...Walking along the beach despite the rain.... Not worrying about your hair frizzing out....Rainbows..... Rain brings out the child within...Let your inner child out today....Wishing you all a peaceful Sunday.....xoxo,Patti
Keeping in touch with childhood memories keeps us believing
in life’s simplest pleasures like a rainy afternoon,
a swing-set, and a giant puddle to play in.
- Chrissy Ogden
Let the rain kiss you
Let the rain beat upon your head with silver liquid drops
Let the rain sing you a lullaby
The rain makes still pools on the sidewalk
The rain makes running pools in the gutter
The rain plays a little sleep song on our roof at night
And I love the rain.
